Your body needs sleep to be able to operate the way it’s meant to and keep you healthy. Sleep regulates the release of different hormones in your body – including leptin and ghrelin.
Leptin and ghrelin are both directly linked to your appetite – which means when they’re out of whack, and you’re susceptible to huge cravings for super unhealthy foods.
The best way to keep both your leptin and ghrelin in balance is simple: get good sleep!
Make sure to try to get at least 8 hours of healthy, uninterrupted sleep per night. If you can swing it, try to wake up at the same time each day – regardless of your schedule.
That helps to train your body to go into deep sleep faster and gives your body the absolute best sleep it can get to keep you healthy and balance your hormones.
