You do not need the time to plan your diet because you can start right now! We have compiled a list of 30+ weight loss tips you can start as soon as you read them!
#1 THINK POSITIVE
Positive thinking is what makes us change the things we do not like. None of the “I can’t” and even “I don’t know” thoughts are what your mind should be concentrating on. This kind of thoughts tends to sink deep into our mind, disabling us to get out of our comfort zone. A positive attitude is what you need to achieve your goals.
#2 TURN OF THE TV
We know we should not eat in front of the TV. Multitasking is a great skill, but not very helpful when you want to lose weight and prepare your body for summer. Moreover, spending time indoors while the fun is out in the sun is probably a waste of time in a certain way. Do not spend time watching TV, go out, create your adventure and enjoy the sun.
#3 STEP AWAY FROM COMPUTER
What goes for the TV goes for the computer as well. The online world is intriguing, exciting and time-consuming, so this atmosphere can easily suck you in. Therefore, you are chatting with your friends, instead of talking in person, playing games, instead of playing games outdoor, reading on the screen, instead of reading in beautiful natural surroundings. Remember to turn off your computer from time to time, and get moving.
A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition revealed that those people who played solitaire while eating forgot what they had eaten, and felt even hungrier after the game. This kind of behavior, or habits, can contribute to obesity and overeating.
#4 PLAN YOUR MEALS WISELY
Planning is an essential part of every diet, so planning your meals and thinking what you are going to eat will keep you focused, organized and disciplined, and make it easier for you to achieve your goals.
A study published in Psychology and Health showed that those participants, who had a concrete plan related to eating more fruits, visualizing how they are going to carry it out, and writing down how they would prepare meals, buy fruits and eat them, ate twice as many fruits as those who did not have a plan.
#5 EAT GRILLED VEGGIES
Grilled veggies are summer foods. Whether you choose to add goat cheese or prepare them with pasta, grilled onions, carrots, eggplant, asparagus, garlic, bell peppers, and zucchini, is the food you need to include in your diets. These foods will keep you energized and satisfy the intakes of essential vitamins and minerals.
#6 DRINK WISELY

On a hot day, all we think about is how to quench our thirst with a cold and refreshing beverage. However, it would not be a good idea to cool yourself down with high-calorie beverages.
Try to remember that alcoholic beverages are especially high in calories as well. If you cannot resist the urge to drink alcohol, sip more slowly.
#7 ENJOY CHILLED SOUPS
For one thing, cold soups are low-calorie dishes and given that they contain chunky vegetables, they are beneficial as well. The other important thing is that cold soup at the beginning of the meal will make you eat less. You can opt for cucumber soup, it is an excellent dish for the warmer months, and it will help you maintain or lose your weight.
#8 EAT SALADS
With so many fruits and vegetables to choose from, you can easily make a quick and healthy meal. Bean or whole-grain salads, sliced veggies with low-fat cheese, nuts with salad greens, you have many options to make a meal in minutes. When you want to add fish or meat in salads, think of them as an accessory.
#9 FORGET ABOUT SWEETENED DRINKS
I believe you already know that soda, energy drinks, and sweetened tea or coffee, diet beverages, even smoothies (depending on the ingredients) have many calories. If you cut these beverages out, you are already contributing to your diet.
We need to drink lots of liquids when temperatures are high, but sweetened beverages do not, in fact, quench thirst (due to sugar) and can make us crave for food. Every time you think of drinking sweetened beverage, drink water, or other refreshing drinks with less calories.
#10 CUT BACK ON SWEETS
Processed and refined food are not summer food. If you want real results, you need to cut back these foods. You can still enjoy sweets, but do not substitute your healthy meals with sweets or processed food. You can enjoy a few small pieces of chocolate occasionally.
#11 INCLUDE SPICY FOODS
Spicy foods burn fat. Chili peppers are especially suitable due to the compound called capsaicin. Spicy food speeds metabolism and gives a feeling of fullness sooner.
#12 ENJOY SEASONAL FOOD
To get your body necessary nutrients to prepare your meals with seasonal food. In summer, one can enjoy a variety of healthy and beneficial colorful vegetables and fruits so do not miss out on important nutrients.
#13 EAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST EVERY DAY
By now, we know why breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you start your day with a balanced and nutritious meal, you will have energy and jump-start your metabolism.
Good breakfast holds off the hunger between meals, and you will not overeat later.
#14 COOK AT HOME
We are all busy with our work, and we probably prefer eating out on a sunny day, however, you should try to cook more at home. There are numerous reasons why you should not eat out often: you probably do not know how food is prepared; when eating out we usually need something that will satisfy our hunger fast, so we tend to forget about calories, risk of fried foods, portion size, and more. The best is to prepare and cook your food.
Also, when eating at home do not eat from the bag because it is likely you will not know how much you have consumed.
#15 EAT LUNCH HIGH IN FIBER
Your lunch should include fiber because you need fiber for proper digestion. Fiber-rich lunch is usually low in calories and you will be surprised how long you will last without food craving. See more reasons why we crave for certain food.
#16 DRINK COFFEE

Caffeine speeds up metabolism, and you need your metabolism to “work fast” to digest the food. The same goes for coffee’s polyphenols. Keep in mind that whipped cream and caramel should not “decorate” your coffee.
#17 AVOID FOODS SWEETENED WITH ALCOHOLS
These foods can cause bloating. These foods are also not very healthy. Many breath mints and sugar-free gums are not diet- friendly at all.
#18 DON’T FORGET THE POWER OF PROTEIN
Proteins are digested more slowly than carbohydrates; this means you will not get hungry quickly. Good sources are chicken breasts, fish, nuts, eggs and low-fat cheese. For vegetarians, there are tofu and beans.
#19 DO A SPRING CLEANING TO PREPARE FOR SUMMER
Because lemons are natural diuretics, use them to make a juice with lukewarm water for internal cleaning before you drink or eat anything else. Lemons will help your body flush out unwanted materials of the body. As diuretics, they will also stimulate your liver, and promote clear skin.
#20 GET YOUR SUGAR FROM NATURAL SOURCES
To satisfy your sweet tooth, opt for natural sources, such as banana or apple. Surely, this is not the same as eating sweets; however, fresh fruits will give you more power as well. If you need more satisfaction, occasionally add a tablespoon of peanut butter or low-fat cream cheese.
#21 ENJOY FRUIT-BASED SALADS
Naturally sweet treats can satisfy sweet cravings as well. Grilled bananas with low-fat ice cream, or frozen, dark cherries, even frozen grapes, or grilled pineapple with rum and pecans and grilled white peaches, name it.
#22 BAN FAST FOOD
Forget about fast food during the summer. You do not need fatty calories (especially because one meal can contain all the calories you are supposed to consume during the entire day). If you want to lose weight, ban fast food.
#23 TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TV TIME
If you cannot decide to leave your living room, or you cannot skip watching your favorite show, then, take advantage of that TV time. Walk or run on a treadmill or do push-ups and sit-ups during commercials.
#24 FIND INSPIRATION
Sometimes, the worst part is taking the first step; however, making a firm decision on what you need to do, can help a lot. However, we tend to forget what inspired us. Create a workout plan, make a list of your goals and display them, create a list of recipes that will remind you why you need to eat healthy this summer. Be realistic, maintain those realistic expectations, and think about your health as well.
#25 STAY MOTIVATED

It is easy to give up, as it is easy to find one more excuse to stop going to the gym or eating healthy. You need to stay focused and motivated, and you can do it in numerous ways. Find that beautiful dress that you cannot wear anymore, and leave it somewhere you can see it every day.
Make motivational post-it notes and leave them on the fridge or somewhere you can see them often. Make a list of all the beautiful beaches you want to visit. Make a list of all the upcoming summer parties you wish to attend to. Jump up and down in front of the mirror. Find your way and stay motivated.
#26 TAKE THE STAIRS
Taking the stairs every time you have an opportunity will help you burn a few more calories. Elevators and escalators are out. It can be a good exercise and an excellent habit. With each step you can be healthier and a few ponds lightest.
#27 TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE WEATHER
The warm weather is all about pleasure, adventures, and vacations, spending time with friends and family, and most of all spending time out, in nature. Why wouldn’t you take advantage of that? Walking, biking, hiking, and running will get your heart pumping.

#29 INDULGE YOURSELF WITH FRUIT ICE CUBES
Fruit ice cubes will help you with hydration and will improve digestion and skin health. Raspberry, blueberry, or strawberry are great picks for making these refreshing snacks.
#30 CONSUME MAJORITY OF YOUR CALORIES BEFORE 3 PM
Eat your biggest meals early in the day, because you will shed more weight. Do not eat your dinner late, (if you have to, then make light dinners), also, do not push your lunch back late into the afternoon.
According to a study, late lunch eaters lose significantly less weight than those people who eat before 3 pm.
#31 WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES
If you notice you are moving less, it may be because of the shoes you wear. Many of us cannot wear sneakers on their jobs, and in the offices, however, other shoes are comfortable as well. Do not miss the opportunity to wear comfortable shoes, because you will move easier.
A study showed that light physical activity during the day could add up to 30 minutes of physical activity. So if you like dancing, go spinning on the dance floor. Go to a mall, instead of ordering online. Do not sit on the bus opt to stand.

Fashion is very important in spring and especially the summer, so do not be afraid to show some skin and wear shorts skirts, shorts, dresses. These pieces of clothing may help prevent indulging yourself with some high-calorie food. A study showed that women who wear loose-fitting clothes tend to eat more.
#34 SIGN UP FOR A SPORT or DANCE CHALLENGE
Try to find a sport or dance challenge that offers prizes; this may motivate you to work out. For instance, the fitness challenge. These challenges are usually short (30 to 60 days); however, during this time you will stay focused. It is also a great way to meet new people and have fun.
#35 USE WORKOUT AND EXERCISING APPS
Today it is almost impossible to ignore the benefits of internet technologies related to losing weight. Numerous studies showed the positive effects of tracking diet plans and progress with mobile apps. It is essential to be aware of what you eat, and when, and to know the state of your body.
Today, one can find many great apps. These apps are also focused on health, thus knowing if a particular eating regime is good or bad for you is very important.
#36 THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
When you decide on your diet plan, think about activities that interest you, or about the actions you have always wanted to experience. A ballet class? Soccer? Karate? A good workout does not have to look like an exercise.
#37 DO NOT ONLY THINK OF DIET AS YOUR TICKET TO THE BEACH
Motivation and inspiration are crucial; however, focusing on diets, as a means to get your body ready for the beach, is not particularly good. Think about diets as a lifestyle change; it will benefit you in numerous ways, not just physically. Imagine healthier you, and do not just imagine yourself having a great time on the beach in a bikini.
