The skin is your body’s most visible organ. It is important that you take proper care of it. The most noticeable area of your skin is your face and you must care for it properly. You don’t need to spend a fortune on some miracle products in order to have a clear, healthy looking skin.

But you do need to know some simple good habits and develop a good skin care routine. Read on to learn about skincare mistakes you should avoid and how to adopt a few simple habits that can keep you looking great for years to come.

In fact, most of my favorite skincare products are produced by drugstore brands, and they work really well. You can spend your money on that prescription retinoid, and go to the drugstore to get the rest of your skincare products.

 

2. Using A Harsh Cleanser

Some cleaners contain harsh detergents and these must be avoided. These types of cleansers surely will leave your skin very clean, but they will strip your skin of vital lipids. Use cleansers that have fatty acids in them and will actually fortify your skin. A good example is Dove’s ProAge products, or even cold cream.

For very dry skin, use cleansing oils, which get rid of dirt and makeup while leaving your skin’s natural protective barrier.

If you need a higher-concentration retinoid, especially if you are 30 or older, you should see a dermatologist for prescription. You can also find many lower concentrations of retinol creams over-the-counter.

In fact, you can eliminate facials from your skin-care budget and actually save your skin from unnecessary treatment. It has been proven that as many as 80% of people experience a break out after getting a facial treatment.

If you want to have a glowing, charming and beautiful skin, make sure you use the appropriate type of moisturizer for each weather condition.

If you follow the above tips regularly, you can prevent skin problems, delay the natural signs of aging, and have your skin looking and feeling great for a long time.
